Reveal

Privacy

Nothing leaves your phone. That is the whole design.

Reveal only works if you can trust it with the truth about your time. So we built it to hold that truth on your device, and nowhere else. Here it is in plain words first, then in full.

In plain words

What we do

  • Store everything locally on your device
  • Read app usage only after you opt in
  • Let you export and delete your own data
  • Keep the app fully usable offline

What we never do

  • No account, no cloud, no sync
  • No analytics, no trackers, no third party SDKs watching you
  • We do not sell or share your data, because we never receive it
  • No ads

What Reveal collects

Reveal creates and stores your data on your device: the tasks and obligations you enter, your focus sessions, your recurring items, and, if you enable it, a local record of how long you spend in other apps. This information lives in a local database on your phone. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

App usage access

The app usage feature is optional and off until you turn it on. When you enable it, Android asks you to grant usage access. Reveal uses that access, on device, to show you how your time is distributed across apps. You can revoke it at any time in Android settings, after which Reveal stops reading those numbers.

Permissions

Reveal requests only what a feature needs, when you choose to use it. Usage access powers the app usage view. Notifications, if you allow them, power the reminders you set. You can decline or revoke either without losing your data.

Data sharing

None. Reveal has no server, no account system, and no analytics. There is no mechanism by which your data reaches us, so there is nothing for us to share, sell, or lose.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Google Play. Reveal does not see or store your payment details. Google handles billing according to its own terms and privacy policy.

Your control

You can export your data to a local file, import it on another device, and delete it by clearing it in the app or uninstalling Reveal. Because the data is local, you are always the one holding it.

Children

Reveal is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date below. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
